Farming at school garden

Once or twice a week we help with farming (in a permaculture project) at the Colégio da Gandarinha (Fundação Condessa de Penha Longa).

The school has children in the age from kindergarten to elementary school. There is a canteen where kids have their meals so the food that is grown in the garden is then used for them.

Moreover, the students make regular visits to the farm to learn about the biodiversity and the importance of sustainability and to stay in contact with nature.

We help with the maintenance, and with the cultivation and harvesting of fruits and vegetables.

Diário de bordo✏️

Uma ou duas vezes por semana ajudamos com os trabalhos de permacultura (num projeto sustentável) do Colégio da Gandarinha (Fundação Condessa de Penha Longa).

A escola acolhe crianças em idade de creche até ao final do ensino básico. Há un refeitorio onde as crianças consomem refeições com os alimentos cultivados.

Os alunos também visitam regularmente a horta para aprenderem sobre a biodiversidade e a importância de hábitos sustentáveis e para estar em contacto com a natureza.

Nós ajudamos com a manutenção, e com o cultivo e colheita dos vegetais e frutas.
